Det är aldrig för sent att börja träna.

Adults who didn’t begin exercising until middle age (age 40-61) lowered their risk of death from all causes by 35% even though they started “late.” (JAMA Open Network).

”Maintaining higher LTPA (anm. fysisk aktivitet) levels and increasing LTPA in later adulthood were associated with comparable low risk of mortality, suggesting that midlife is not too late to start physical activity. Inactive adults may be encouraged to be more active, whereas young adults who are already active may strive to maintain their activity level as they get older.”

Men det gäller väl inte hälsosamma svenskar? Minns befolkningsundersökningen SCAPIS där bara 7% procent av svenska medelålders personer mellan 50 och 64 uppfyllde de nationella rekommendationerna för fysisk aktivitet.
